Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi will visit Jordan, Egypt and Turkey as part of Iran’s diplomatic outreach to countries in the region ‘with the aim of stopping war, genocide and crimes’, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said in a post on the X platform on Wednesday.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has assured UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres that his country is ready to respond ‘decisively’ if Israel attacks Iran in response to its rocket fire.

Iran fired some 200 rockets at Israel on 1 October in response to the assassinations of Hamas politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, Hezbollah secretary-general Hassan Nasrallah and an Iranian general in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
