In statements to the German newspaper “Bild,” Katz said: “We expect Germany to deliver the weapons that Israel needs.

Germany bears a special responsibility for Israel’s security, and now is the right time for that.

It is worth noting that the German government did not issue licenses for the export of military weapons to Israel from March until August 21st.

Earlier, during a government statement regarding the upcoming European Union summit, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz reaffirmed in parliament his promise to continue supplying weapons to Israel.
