Moscow accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday of “pushing” NATO toward a “direct conflict” with Russia after he presented a “victory plan” aimed at enhancing military deployment in Ukraine and seeking membership in the alliance.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that Zelensky is urging NATO countries toward conflict, describing his plan as a collection of incoherent slogans. She noted that the plan would lead to disaster for the Ukrainian people.
During his speech, Zelensky called on his allies to take urgent steps to support Kyiv in an effort to end the conflict with Russia next year.
