Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has arrived in the Egyptian capital Cairo at the head of a diplomatic delegation, marking the first visit to Egypt by an Iranian official in 11 years.
According to Iran’s official IRNA news agency, Araqchi’s visit to Egypt is part of his regional tour aimed at stepping up diplomatic efforts to stop Israeli aggression against Gaza and Lebanon.
Egypt is the eighth stop on a regional tour that Araqchi began about two weeks ago with the aim of coordinating measures to stop the Zionist entity’s crimes and ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon, the agency said.
