The Israeli Occupation Army (IOA) announced on Thursday evening that it succeeded in killing the head of the Islamic Resistance Movement’s political bureau, Yahya al-Sinwar, in the Gaza Strip.
The radio added that the clash with Sinwar took place in Tal al-Sultan in Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, and that he was wearing a military jacket along with another field commander.
Hamas has not yet commented on the Israeli statement.
The occupation considers Sinwar to be the mastermind of the 7 October flooding operation in Al-Aqsa, which resulted in the deaths of more than a thousand Israeli soldiers and settlers.
