Bangladesh’s interim prime minister meets 15 parties to discuss political reforms

Bangladesh’s interim Prime Minister Muhammad Yunus will hold a wide-ranging meeting with leaders of 15 political parties on Saturday as part of a series of dialogues that began on 5 October. The aim of the meetings is to discuss the progress of the political reform process being pursued by the interim government, and to listen to suggestions from different parties on the steps needed to enhance transparency and political stability in the country.

The meetings come as Bangladesh prepares for a general election scheduled for January.
