3 Lebanese soldiers martyred due to Israeli occupation shelling in the south of the country

The Lebanese army announced on Sunday the martyrdom of 3 of its soldiers in an Israeli shelling of a military vehicle in southern Lebanon.

The army command explained that the three soldiers were martyred when the Israeli occupation targeted a vehicle carrying them in southern Lebanon, as the occupation intensified its raids on several areas in Lebanon for about a month, bringing the number of Lebanese army martyrs since September 23 to 8 soldiers.

The violent Israeli raids continued on Sunday on the southern suburbs of the capital Beirut and dozens of towns and villages in southern and eastern Lebanon.

The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) accused the Israeli occupation army of demolishing a watchtower and a fence surrounding a UN site in the town of Marouhin in southern Lebanon.
