Liverpool regained the lead in the English Premier League standings after defeating Chelsea 2-1 at Anfield on Sunday in the eighth round of the tournament.

Egyptian Mohamed Salah scored the first goal for Liverpool in the 29th minute via a penalty kick before Chelsea equalized in the 48th minute with a goal by Nicolas Jackson. In the 51st minute, Curtis Jones scored the second goal for Liverpool.
