In recent developments, the Lebanese Red Cross confirmed on Tuesday that three of its paramedics were injured due to shelling during a rescue mission coordinated with United Nations forces (UNIFIL) in the Nabatieh region of southern Lebanon, following Israeli airstrikes in the area.
The National News Agency of Lebanon reported that the Red Cross clarified that the three paramedics were injured during a rescue operation in Nabatieh after the airstrike.
The statement from the agency indicated that after necessary communications with UNIFIL, four vehicles belonging to the Lebanese Red Cross, along with medical teams, were dispatched to begin searching for and assisting the injured. However, the site came under fire, resulting in injuries to three paramedics from shrapnel.
