The Kairouan Court of First Instance in Tunisia issued a new ruling to imprison former presidential candidate Ayachi Zemmal for 5 years and 4 months in 3 cases related to forging electoral endorsements.
A member of Ayachi Zemmal’s defense team, lawyer Abdel Sattar Al-Masoudi, said the court rulings against his client amounted to 61 years in prison, which he considered a “judicial injustice.”
