Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday announced fundamental changes in a multipolar world at the 16th BRICS summit.
In a speech, Putin said Moscow wants to strengthen the position of BRICS in the world and focus on solving global and local problems.
He stressed that the BRICS countries have enormous economic, scientific, demographic and political potential, stressing that the member countries have become the most powerful economic group in the world.
During the meeting with the BRICS leaders, Putin suggested that a list of BRICS partner countries be drawn up and included in the final declaration of the Kazan summit.
The second day of the BRICS 2024 Summit began in the Russian city of Kazan, with a number of heads of state, government and guests arriving in the city to take part in the summit, which will be held in an expanded format today.
