Turkey Targets PKK Positions in Response to Ankara Attack

The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday that its forces targeted positions of the banned Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in northern Iraq and Syria, following a deadly attack on the headquarters of “TUSAS,” a Turkish aerospace and defense company, in Ankara.
The ministry stated in a release that it conducted an air operation on October 23, 2024, targeting 32 terrorist positions, and noted that these air operations are ongoing.
In a post on X, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan emphasized that any terrorist entity seeking to threaten Turkey’s security will not achieve its goals, stressing that the attack on “TUSAS” is a vile assault targeting the country’s safety and its defense initiatives.
