Poland closes Russian consulate in Poznan and expels 3 diplomats

Poland’s Foreign Ministry has announced its decision to close the Russian consulate general in Poznan and expel 3 diplomats and 7 employees.

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said on Tuesday that he would order the closure of one of the three Russian consulates in the country because “the Russian Federation is behind attempts at sabotage in Poland and allied countries.”

Sikorski called on Moscow to stop what he described as a “hybrid” war against Poland and its Western allies, warning that Warsaw reserves the right to “take further decisive steps” if it does not stop.
