Fifty Libyan figures have addressed a call to UN Deputy Envoy Stephanie Khoury, demanding the inclusion of a clear provision for the establishment of a new, smaller government tasked primarily with overseeing elections.
These individuals also emphasized the importance of the involved countries playing an active role in preserving the unity, sovereignty, and independence of Libya, rejecting the continuation of the current situation and its resulting hardships for the Libyan people, along with the lack of political, economic, and social stability.
These calls were made in an open letter, a copy of which was obtained by local Libyan media, directed to the Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, as well as to the ambassadors of the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Russia, and China.
