The Russian Defense Ministry announced that it had killed more than 740 Ukrainian soldiers and destroyed two armored combat vehicles, four vehicles, and four cannons belonging to the Ukrainian armed forces.

The Defense Ministry stated that its troops had taken control of the Oleksandropil area in Donetsk, eastern Ukraine.
