Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili on Sunday rejected the results of parliamentary elections as blatantly fraudulent.
She told a press conference that the president and the opposition would not reconcile themselves to the fraudulent elections.
I do not accept these elections. They are unacceptable,’ Zurabishvili said, calling on citizens to protest outside the Georgian parliament.ذ
On Saturday, Georgia held its first-ever fully proportional parliamentary elections. Nearly 90 per cent of voters cast their ballots using electronic machines installed at polling stations.
The Central Election Commission (CEC) announced late on Saturday that the Georgian Dream party had won the parliamentary elections.
