Manchester United have announced the sacking of Dutch coach Erik Teng Hag  following poor results in the Premier League and Europa League, the club said in a statement.
The statement reads: “Erik Teng Hag has resigned from his position as head coach of the first team.
He took over as Manchester manager in April 2022 and led the club to two domestic titles, winning the Cadoao Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024.
In a statement, the club confirmed that assistant coach Ten Hag  and former international Ruud Vanstelrooy have been appointed as interim coaches until a permanent manager is appointed.
