The U.S. Department of Defense has stated that North Korea has sent approximately 10,000 troops for training in Russia, which is an update to a previous estimate of 3,000 soldiers.

Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh indicated that this training could lead to the strengthening of Russian forces near Ukraine. She also added that some of these soldiers have already moved to areas closer to Ukraine, raising concerns about the possibility of them being used in combat against Ukrainian forces.
