Russia announces control of 3 towns in eastern Ukraine

Russia announced on Tuesday that it had captured three towns in eastern Ukraine’s Donbass, where its forces have been advancing rapidly in recent days near the towns of Kurakhovy and Selidovy.

In its daily report, the Russian defence ministry said Russian forces had taken control of Gernik, Katerynivka and Bogoyavlenka, according to AFP.
