The Elections Laboratory at the University of Florida announced today that more than 41 million Americans have voted early by 5:45 a.m. Eastern Time.
According to ABC News, out of a total of 41,989,000 early votes, 21,111,000 were cast in person and 21,338,000 were sent by mail.
The network explained that American voters in Washington, D.C. can cast their early in-person votes at polling centers starting today, Monday, noting that almost all states that allow early in-person voting have already opened their polling stations.
The U.S. elections for the positions of president, vice president, state governors, House of Representatives, and Senate seats will begin on November 5th
