“December” Literary Prize awarded to Moroccan Abdullah Al-Tayyi

The “December” literary prize was awarded yesterday, Wednesday, in Paris, to Moroccan author Abdullah Al-Tayyi for his novel “Le Bastion de l’Arme,” which is considered one of the standout successes of the French literary season.
This novel is Al-Tayyi’s first and was published by the “Gallimard” publishing house, following his previous eight novels released through “Seuil.”
The novel competed against “Un Déménagement” by Julia Decq and “Les Derniers Jours du Parti Socialiste” by Aurélien Belangie, both published by “Seuil,” according to foreign media outlets.
