The President of the Libyan Volleyball Federation and Vice President of the African Federation, Adnan Al-Bakbak, confirmed that the African Federation approved Libya’s hosting of the African Club Championship in April 2025 in the city of Misrata, after Al-Suwahli Club resolved the financial situation in favor of the country.
Al-Bakbak mentioned that between 14 to 16 teams are expected to participate in the tournament, emphasizing the importance of support from the Ministry of Sports in the Government of National Unity.
He also added that an agreement was made with the African Federation to provide technical courses for referees and technicians in the fields of Video Technology (VAR) and beach volleyball, announcing the addition of two Libyan members to the African Federation: Abdul Wahab Zoubi in the Competitions Committee and Badr Al-Sharif in the Finance Committee.
