Lightning Strike in Uganda Kills 14 and Injures 34 at Church

The Ugandan police announced that at least 14 people were killed and 34 others injured after a lightning strike hit a church in the Palabek refugee camp in the Lamwo district of northern Uganda on Saturday.
The incident occurred while the victims were gathered for prayer in the church, as rain began to fall at 5 PM, and half an hour later, a sudden lightning strike hit the area, leading to the casualties.
The police also reported that most of the victims were of different nationalities and from the youth demographic, including a girl aged nine.
