Spain Allocates 10.6 Billion Euros to Support Flood Victims in the Southeast

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez announced that the government will allocate 10.6 billion euros to support individuals and businesses affected in the southeastern regions, which experienced the worst floods this week.
Sánchez confirmed that the aid would be fast and direct, similar to the support provided during the COVID-19 pandemic, aimed at alleviating the burden on those affected.
He also added that the government would assist 30,000 companies and 65,000 self-employed workers, and fully cover the urgent expenses incurred by municipalities to provide essential services and rehabilitate the affected areas.
