The financial authorities conducted searches at the offices of the French Professional Football League and the private equity firm CVC Capital Partners on Tuesday, following allegations of embezzlement of public funds.

These actions come after a complaint was filed by the association (A.C.) in November 2023, accusing the embezzlement of public funds in 2022 related to the establishment of a subsidiary company under the French Ligue 1.

According to the French news agency “AFP,” foreign media outlets reported that a French judicial source confirmed that financial investigators raided the mentioned offices as part of the ongoing investigation into the allegations.
