Gold prices fell to their lowest level in over three weeks on Thursday, affected by the rise of the dollar following Donald Trump’s victory in the U.S. presidential election.

At 03:27 GMT, spot gold dropped 0.1% to $2656.34 per ounce, after hitting its lowest point since October 15.

Futures for gold also declined by 0.5% to $2663.60, as the U.S. dollar index reached a four-month high, making gold more expensive for buyers holding other currencies.
