China and the World Health Organization (WHO) will host a global conference on traditional medicine in Beijing on 3-4 December, according to a press conference held on Thursday.
The conference will focus on diversity, inheritance and innovation in traditional medicine for the benefit of the world. It will include discussions on scientific research, education, and digital and smart applications of traditional medicine.
Heads of international organisations, government officials from several countries and ambassadors to China, as well as medical experts, scientists and businessmen have been invited to attend the conference, organisers said. About 1,200 people are expected to attend the opening ceremony.
Chinese organisers include the Beijing Municipal Government, the National Health Commission and the National Council of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
