The Wall Street Journal reported that the United States plans to send over 500 interceptor missiles to Ukraine in the coming weeks, accelerating the pace of military aid deliveries.
The newspaper quoted U.S. Department of Defense officials saying that these missiles, which include support for the “Patriot” and “NASAMS” air defense systems, aim to meet Ukraine’s defense needs for the rest of the year. Washington also plans to complete the delivery of the remaining aid by April.
