Iran Begins Construction of First Defensive Tunnel in Tehran After Israeli Strikes

The Tasnim agency, affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, announced on Tuesday that it has begun constructing a defensive tunnel in Tehran, near the city center, following Israeli strikes on targets within the country.
The tunnel, being built in Tehran, will connect the Tehran Metro station to Khomeini Hospital, allowing for direct underground access.
Regarding this project, Jaafar Tashkiri Hashmi, an official from Tehran’s City Council, explained that this is the first defensive tunnel of its kind in Iran.
This development comes after Israel carried out strikes on Iranian sites last month in retaliation for an Iranian attack on Israel in October.
