President-elect Donald Trump has nominated Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk to lead the Office of Government Efficiency alongside businessman Vivek Ramaswamy.

Trump said in a statement: ‘These two great Americans will work together to pave the way for my administration to cut red tape, reduce excessive regulations, cut wasteful spending, and restructure federal agencies (…) which is essential to the ‘Make America Great Again’ movement.

President-elect Donald Trump has also nominated former US National Guard officer and Fox News host Pete Hegseth to be Secretary of Defence in his next administration.
