The body of one person was found near Brazil’s Supreme Court in the capital Brasilia after two explosions were heard and authorities evacuated the courthouse, officials said late on Wednesday.
Two powerful explosions were heard after the end of Wednesday’s session, the court said in a statement, adding that the judges had been evacuated safely.
The court is located in Brasilia’s Plaza de los Tres Poderis, which also houses the presidential palace and the congress building.
The presidential palace was closed, while police patrolled the square.
