The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, on Thursday called for avoiding attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities during a press conference in Tehran with the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Mohammad Eslami, following Israeli threats to target them.
Grossi emphasized the importance of achieving tangible results in dialogue with Iran to prevent escalation and war, while Eslami vowed immediate measures against any interventionist decision issued by the IAEA Board of Governors.
In a related context, Grossi held talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who reiterated his country’s rejection of negotiations under pressure and intimidation.
