Authorities in the Philippines have issued evacuation orders for cities in the northeast of the country in preparation for the arrival of Typhoon Usagi, the fifth typhoon to strike the nation within a month.

Government data indicates that more than 24,000 people, including those previously affected by flooding, have been evacuated from Cagayan province.
