As part of the ongoing military escalation on Ukraine’s eastern front, Russia announced new progress in the Donetsk region on Thursday.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense’s daily report, Russian forces successfully breached Ukrainian defenses and took control of the village of Vuhledar, located near the town of Kurakhove.

This advancement comes amid a noticeable retreat by the Ukrainian military across multiple fronts in recent months, marking an intensification in frontline clashes, according to foreign media reports.
