Russia’s defence ministry announced today that its air defences had shot down 51 Ukrainian drones overnight.

The ministry said in a statement that air defence systems destroyed 36 drones over the territory of the Krasnodar region, three over Crimea, two over Belgorod and 10 over the Sea of Azov.

Earlier today, Ukrainian emergency services said at least one person was killed in a massive Russian attack overnight in Odessa in southern Ukraine.

The emergency services said on Telegram: ‘Odessa has once again been subjected to a large-scale attack, and according to preliminary data, one person has been killed and 10 others injured, including two children.
