Two Lebanese security sources told Reuters that an Israeli airstrike targeted a densely populated area in Beirut on Sunday, resulting in the death of Mohammed Afif, the media relations officer for Hezbollah, which was later confirmed by the party.

The sources added that the airstrike hit a neighborhood that had been sheltering many displaced people from southern Beirut’s Dahiyeh.
