Trump praised Wright’s leadership abilities in fostering innovation and reducing administrative procedures, emphasizing that Wright would lead a new era of American prosperity and global peace.

In this context, Trump also announced the creation of a National Energy Council to oversee the U.S.’s path to energy dominance.

Wright’s nomination has received support from oil companies, despite his controversial remarks on climate change and energy.
