Protests in Georgia Over Election Results and accusations of Russian interference

Protesters have accused the Russian government of interfering in the elections, in which the ruling party, “Georgian Dream,” won 54% of the votes.

The protests come amid calls by the opposition for new elections, as many Georgians believe the electoral process was compromised by Kremlin intervention in favor of the pro-Russian party.

While party leaders have denied the allegations of fraud, European election observers confirmed that the electoral process was marred by numerous violations, including bribery, double voting, and physical violence.
