The Biden administration has warned Turkey against hosting leaders of Hamas following reports that several senior members of the group traveled from Doha to Ankara last week.

Israeli broadcaster “Kan” reported that Hamas officials left Doha for Ankara after the Qatari government announced its withdrawal from mediation efforts for a ceasefire.

Turkish diplomatic sources had previously denied reports about relocating Hamas’s political office to Turkey, emphasizing that visits by Hamas members are infrequent.
