China has called for calm and restraint following the signing of a decree by Russian President Vladimir Putin, expanding the use of nuclear weapons.
In this context, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated that all parties should work together through dialogue to ease tensions.
The Russian decree permits the use of nuclear weapons against non-nuclear states supported by nuclear powers, coinciding with 1,000 days since the Ukraine invasion and U.S. approval for Ukraine to use long-range missiles against Russia.
