Croatia: Presidential election on 29 December

Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković announced on Tuesday that his country will hold presidential elections on 29 December.
Croatian citizens living abroad will also be able to vote, he said in a statement, as polling stations will be open in around 50 countries around the world, compared to 47 in the previous election.

So far, 12 candidates, including incumbent President Zoran Milanović and independent candidate Dragan Primorac, backed by the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), are vying for a five-year term.
The President of Croatia is elected by a first-past-the-post system. If no candidate wins an absolute majority in the election on 29 December, the two candidates with the highest number of votes will go to a run-off two weeks later.
