Emir of Qatar and Colombian President discuss ways to enhance cooperation and developments in Gaza and Lebanon
Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Colombian President Gustavo Petro on Wednesday evening discussed ways to enhance cooperation and developments in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
The two leaders held an official meeting at the Casa de Nariño presidential palace in the capital Bogota, Qatar’s Amiri Diwan said, according to the official Qatar News Agency (QNA).
During the meeting, they discussed the existing cooperation relations between the two countries in various fields and means of enhancing and developing them, especially in the investment, economic and trade fields.
The meeting also reviewed the latest regional and international issues of common interest, especially the developments in the Gaza Strip, the occupied Palestinian territories and Lebanon, and the need to intensify efforts to calm the situation in the Middle East and achieve a ceasefire.
The Emir of Qatar began the tour by attending the G20 Summit in Brazil on Monday, followed by a visit to Costa Rica and concluding with a visit to Colombia on Thursday.
