The 53-year-old Spanish coach, Pep Guardiola, has extended his contract with Manchester City, the English Premier League champions, for an additional two years, according to an announcement made by the club on Thursday.
Guardiola’s previous contract was set to expire on July 1, 2025, but the new agreement ensures he will continue to lead the team until 2027, according to foreign media outlets.
Guardiola has been managing Manchester City since 2016 and has led the team to six Premier League titles, including four consecutive ones.
He also achieved a historic treble of the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League in 2023, and won the League Cup four times in a row between 2018 and 2021.
