In a security incident early Sunday morning in Amman, a gunman opened fire on security personnel near the Israeli Embassy, injuring three officers before being neutralized.
Government spokesperson Mohammad Al-Momani described the attack as a “terrorist act,” emphasizing that Jordan’s stability and security are a red line that cannot be compromised.
Meanwhile, the Petra news agency reported that police imposed a security cordon and urged residents to stay indoors. The area, known for hosting protests against Israel, saw heightened security amid growing public anger over the Gaza war.
