Lebanon’s caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati condemned Israel’s attack on an army center in the town of al-Amiriya in southern Lebanon, stating that “the assault reflects a rejection of any potential ceasefire”.

Mikati emphasized that such actions hinder efforts for peace and stability in the region.

Reports from the Lebanese army indicated that the Israeli attack resulted in the death of one soldier and injuries to 18 others, some of whom are in serious condition.
