A UN report released today, Monday, revealed that 85,000 women and girls were deliberately killed worldwide in 2023, most of them by family members.

The report highlighted that 60% of these killings took place at home, where women were victims of domestic violence.

The report emphasized that eradicating such crimes is a global responsibility, requiring serious action from governments and the international community to ensure the protection of women and strengthen their rights worldwide.
