John Kirby, spokesperson for the National Security Council at the White House, stated during a press conference on Monday that “a ceasefire agreement in Lebanon is close,” emphasizing that reaching an agreement between Hezbollah and the Israeli occupation is a priority for President Joe Biden.

Additionally, Lebanese sources reported that there is a plan for Presidents Joe Biden and Emmanuel Macron of France to announce a ceasefire agreement between Hezbollah and Israel within the next 36 hours.

Israeli media also noted that the Israeli government will meet on Tuesday to approve the ceasefire with Lebanon.
