Foreign ministers of the G7 on Tuesday called for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, emphasizing the need for a diplomatic solution.
This comes as Israel expressed its willingness to accept a U.S.-French plan for de-escalation, while Israeli airstrikes on southern Beirut have killed 31 people, according to Lebanon’s Ministry of Health.
Amid the diplomatic efforts, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant warned of a firm response to any violation of the potential ceasefire agreement, such as rearming in southern Lebanon, further complicating the situation on the ground.
