Pakistan: 4 security personnel killed by pro-Imran Khan demonstrators

Protesters supporting former Prime Minister Imran Khan killed four members of the security forces during demonstrations in the capital Islamabad today Tuesday, the Pakistani government said.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said in a statement that the four Rangers personnel were ‘killed in an attack’ by protesters in central Islamabad, while Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said they were ‘hit by a car during an attack’ by ‘protesters’, AFP reported.

Thousands of protesters supporting former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan clashed with security forces who used force to disperse them in Islamabad today after they broke through barriers and entered the capital early in the morning to demand the release of their leader, AFP correspondents reported.
