The General Staff of the Transitional Government of National Unity in Libya announced the final phase of the project to survey and clear Tripoli International Airport of mines and remnants of war, carried out by the Military Engineering Department.
The Military Engineering Department teams carried out the field survey of all areas of Tripoli International Airport under the supervision of an executive committee headed by the project manager and head of the executive committee, Brigadier General Salem Al-Farjani Abdullah, according to the statement.
Officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers from the Military Engineering Department participated in the implementation of the project, with the cooperation and logistical support of several organisations.
The implementation of the project started in January 2022 and included five phases.
